Kathleen M. Francis 79 Oblong, Illinois died Sunday, September 22, 2002 at her residence. Kathleen was born in Birmingham, England on August 30, 1923 and was the daughter of John Alfred and Beatrice (Werham) Haddon. Kathleen was a Activity Director at Friendship Village, retiring in 1995, and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Kathleen is survived by two daughters and son-in-law Carol and David Miller and Judy Varvil; seven grandchildren Dawn and Troy Jacobs, Penny Van Winkle, Robin Van Winkle, Harold E. Varvil, James L. & Tracy Varvil, Robert L. Varvil and Amy (Francis) and Kenneth Burch; seven great-grandchildren Alex Chase Jacobs, Richard Baud, Crystal Defenback, Chris Lewsader, Michael Lewsader, Emily Varvil and Leslie Varvil; aunt and uncle Edith and Charlie Clark; several nieces and nephews in England.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Arthur E. "Sonny" Francis, father-in-law Harold Edward Francis, one brother Leslie Albert Haddon in World War II and one sister Lela Mheler.

Burial will be in the Berlin Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois.
